You know how Lady Gaga sang 'show me your teeth'? Today, I'm telling you about tongue scrapers, so instead it's 'show me your tongue'.
The first time I heard about tongue scraping I was attending the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and working on my certification for health coaching. I remember the teacher talking about the many benefits to which I thought, 'right, big deal, I brush my tongue'.
It wasn't until my husband mentioned the debris (for lack of a better word) coming off his tongue that I decided to give it a shot. It went WAY beyond simply brushing my tongue. Now, I scrape my tongue before brushing in the morning and after brushing in the evening.
What exactly are the benefits of tongue scraping and why should you consider it?
What's truly awesome is tongue scrapers are inexpensive & can be used for years, especially if you get a metal one like I have. Why wouldn't you want to fully experience the taste of your food?
